The Hong Kong Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (HKSPEN), established in 2007, is the first and only multidisciplinary academic society in Hong Kong dedicated to clinical nutrition. Our Society brings together healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, dietitians, and pharmacists, from both the public and private sectors. Together, we are committed to advancing the understanding and application of clinical nutrition for the benefit of our patients and the community.

Our mission is to promote the advancement of knowledge in parenteral and enteral nutrition, foster collaboration among professionals and organizations, and stimulate public awareness about the vital role of nutrition in patient care. By doing so, we aim to improve the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of nutritional disorders, reduce mortality, and enhance patient recovery and well-being.

HKSPEN actively supports education and research in clinical nutrition by keeping healthcare providers updated on the latest developments and scientific advancements. We encourage the exchange of knowledge through opportunities for professionals to study, teach, and collaborate both locally and internationally. Furthermore, we strive to educate the public on the importance of nutrition in various clinical settings, emphasizing its role in reducing morbidities, shortening hospital stays, and ultimately lowering the socioeconomic burden on our community.
